  1. Mix all dals.
    Wash and soak for one hr.
  2. Boil them by adding salt, turmeric powder, one green chili little ginger, and water till done.
    Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. add cumin and asafoetida. Now add chopped garlic Cook till pink in color
  4. Add chopped onion Cook for 3-4 mnts. add chopped tomatoes and ginger and cook till tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, green chilies,garam masala powder and salt mix.
  6. Now add cooked dal mix. Cook.
  7. In another pan put oil or butter add cumin and whole red chili off the gas and add red chili powder.
  8. Add it in dal. remove dal from fire.
    Serve with rice or chapati.
