- Take a pressure cooker, add dal & all given ingredients.
- Add water accordingly so as to keep dal a lil thick.
- Place the lid, give 6-7 whistles. Lower the flame now, cook it for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove it from the flame, let it cool, keep aside.
- Take a pan or wok, add ghee, heat it.
- Add zeera and, let it splutter.
- Now add dry red chilli, sauté it for a while.
- Add onion, stir fry it until light brown.
- Add garlic & salt (lil), sauté it for a while.
- Add tomato now, also add lil water, stir fry it. Cover it with the lid, cook it at low flame till tomato becomes mashy.
- Open the lid now, add haldi powder & red chilli powder, again add lil water, increase the flame, stir fry it until oil has oozed out.
- Pour dal into the tadka masala, mix it well.
- Give a boil, lower the flame, cook it for 5 minutes.
- Switch off the flame, take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
- Have it in main course..
