  14. 1/2 tbsp mustard and cumin seeds

  1. Wash spinach and chop. Heat deep pan add oil to it.
  2. Add mustard and cumin seeds.let it splutter add chopped garlic and green chillies.saute add onion, tomatoes saute till mushy. Now add chopped spinach.
  3. Mix well. Cook for couple of minutes.add red chilli powder,garam masala,saute. now add cooked tur dal
  4. Mix well,add required water.add salt,kokum. Allow it to cook well. It is a thick dal which can be used with rice and roti as well.garam masala added is home-made which has black pepper as major content used only in winters.
